TRIO Art Opening and Exhibition this Weekend!!! Woo hoo!!!!!!! and FREE SHiPPiNG at simonefrank.com

You are cordially invited to a group art exhibition!

Trio. Three is an interesting number. I automatically think of many cultures attributing power to it.

TRIO as a Vedic number -
Artist will infuse, inspire and pull up society upward and forward through idealistic contributions.

Then there’s the Three Stooges, so, whatever. Listen, don’t let me ramble. I’ve been doing a lot of that lately. It’s time to write some poetry I guess. It’s the socially acceptable way to get away with that!

For now…

I’m really looking forward to my next exhibit at:

Studio 105
find the buzz code at the main door
(540 Sherbourne Street just South of Sherbourne (on Bloor) Subway.

The two artists I’m exhibiting with are fabulous pals of mine. We meet and dine and talk about things to come, the nature of people, the world at large. I am honoured to exhibit at the launch of Alexander Plata’sgallery, Studio 105.

One day, these two fine gentlemen looked at the front of their building and decided to rebrand. It wasn’t ongoing commentary on how it could be improved. They did it. They are responsible for 540 Sherbourne becoming FIVE-FORTY Sherbourne.
Alex is a gifted photographer among many things, whose works will fill your location with a logical and mystical vibe. See it to understand.

Glenn Simpson invited me to design Irish Dancing Costumes with him.
We did. It was fun. And a lot of work.
Like most fun things are when you do them properly.

Among his credits, Glenn performed in Riverdance and is a world renowned Irish Dancing adjudicator and instructor. If you’re interested in learning Irish Dancing, I suggest you attend classes at his school, Druid Academy. Contact Glenn for more details.

As a gift, Glenn gave me Celtic renderings to put on North, South, West and East walls for protection. I hang them proudly in my home. Works like this around Celtic meaning will be exhibited at TRIO.

Let's Save the World - Friday Nov 20, 2015 - http://goo.gl/iUXekx

Let's Save the World page 3 - http://goo.gl/iUXekx

The story begins as a young woman and her granddaughter discuss the fate of the world while baking together. It is a work in progress, to be published at a later date. The piece speaks of family, cultural issues, love, hope and equity.

My grandmother and I were pretty close for several years. She would wake up early to walk me to kindergarten. I have fond memories of those walks.

Granny was the strong silent type. What I loved about her was that she listened to me. I mean, really listened. As a child, I was filled with questions and and ideas. I drove a lot of adults crazy. But Granny always listened intently and I loved her for that.

This series is about a conversation a young woman has with her Granny about living in a chaotic world. This young lady struggles with the problems in the world and is desperate for a way to live happily despite wars, floods and fires.

I hope you enjoy the story.

Created to remind you of the wisdom the elders can provide to young folks who are interested in achieving balance in an unfair world.

Bouncy Lovely - Wire - $50 - simonefrank.com

Aloha!!!

Wow, last month was doozie for me. Fellow Aquarians, according to my astrologers, we went very deep into the recesses of our minds, (as we are known to do), and stayed there for the month contemplating the past, future, the universe, ourselves, our communities.

At the end of it all I decided to make art.

It's what I always decide after considering a career in medicine, law or teaching. After many insisting that I pursue a career in psychotherapy. The blind leading the blind in my case. lol.

I have so many almost finished works of art. It's going in an interesting direction. I'll show you soon. Oh! Can you make it to the NTGA Fine Arts Show and Sale to see some of it?

Dream Huge!!

Dream Big - Ink on Mulberry

Guess what? I set up an account on Fine Arts America. This new selection of painted words can be viewed by clicking here: http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/simone-frank.html

Did I ever tell you this story?

Read - Ink on Mulberry

Okay. I worked at Teatro Verde many moons ago. I graduated into a recession twice. The second time, in 2009, resulted in a retail job for a year in Yorkville. It was a beautiful looking store. I could walk to work. I was poor, depressed, ill, annoyed at my situation but I made several sales in excess of $10, 000. More than a few in excess of $20,000. It was good times. But I made no commission, so the reward was purely ego centred. If you know me well, you know; for me that goes a long way.

One of my favourite customers invited me out for coffee. As we sipped espressos at the Four Seasons, she told me that she was a practicing spiritual psychotherapist. I love that! She later admitted that she invited me out with her because of something energetic and she gave me a reading.

None of your business.

Hahahaha. Okay. I’ll tell you one thing she told me. “If you combine your visual art and your writing you will be famous!”

Believe it or not, I had heard this before from another ‘almost stranger.’ This was not a stretch for me. In my earliest sketchbooks, the two are illustrated in tandem. There are somethings better written than painted and vice versa.

When someone spiritual tells me I’m supposed to do something or I’m meant to do something, it makes me pause. I’m not sure if I feel like I’m cheating to listen. Like I should have come to this conclusion myself. Like I now carry a heavier weight. Like some other agenda will be revealed. Like I have a great responsibility. “Like, like, like, Oh, my Gosh!”

But the other day, I painted these. After having mingled with so many artists and art lovers at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, I was gently reminded of the need for good words, fun words, inspiring words. Mostly, I needed to paint these words for me and assume that there are others who find them important as well.

Fine Arts America allows customers the option of purchasing prints and design products associated with the original work of art.

Each piece can be purchased as a:

Saves me a ton of time in the workshop while blessing you with many choices. I hope you like them!!

Thank you Fine Arts America for providing this free platform for artists and designers and especially for art lovers!! Join at will, my people. Here's one of your many chances!!

I have a quote in my head from a poster that was on my wall as a little one. I think it's the best advice I was ever given. "Live always my friend, as if there is world enough and time."
